Huyana Wanandi is my OC from

I was so sad when this group died. I love Huyana for many reasons. She's a very cerebral character (like many of my characters.) She is a thinker and very careful with her words. But I love her because she took place in a revolution, a cause which she put herself whole-heartedly behind. Now that her cause has succeeded, her country is going through a huge cultural shift. Raka culture is being revived, and Huyana wants to see it.

But she was recruited to serve the new queen and she answered that call. Even though she misses home more than anything. Even though she wants to be part of this new world being created for her people.

I don't feel like I got to explore that enough. Nor did I get to explore her nervousness at being a merchants daughter among nobles. Or how, being half-raka and half-luarin, she has to figure out where she fits in the new order.

Another awesome thing about Huyana is that she dresses in nice, raka-style clothes. Which is a challenge for me, because most of my characters wear incredibly simple clothing. Also, she's the only one of my characters to wear eye-smarting bright colors like that.
